HAMMER MPU 5 is solvent free One-component superior grade high performance water bourne adhesive formulated for membrane pressing or vacuum forming PVC foils in the manufacture of doors and panels, kitchen cabinets, furniture components and other post forming applications. Initial application by spray gun, and bonds are subsequently formed by heat activation in the membrane press. MPU 5 has excellent spray characteristics, high green strength and excellent final bonds offering excellent water resistence.

• HAMMER MPU 5 is ideal for applying PVC materials to wood. The minimum reactivation temperature is 70-80 C° , enabling the product to be used on a range of different presses. Used for bonding PVC to wood & post forming applications. It can be used for bonding PVC Foils to Flush Doors in vacuum press. It can also be used in hot press, roller press, vacuum press & post forming machines.

  Recommended methods of applications:
  Clean the substrates to be bonded so that they are free from dust, rust, oil. Stir the adhesive well before use. Apply HAMMER MPU 5 on ply/flush door uniformly by nozzle applicator. Once the adhesive becomes touch dry (when tack is developed) press both the substrates together ensuring uniform contact so that air pockets are not formed. Place the membrane door into vacuum press for proper vacuum and pressure.

• Precautions
  

  To ensure safe storage of product, containers should be well sealed to prevent evaporation of water and the formation of skin on the surface. The emulsion must be stored at a temperature above freezing. Higher temperatures will affect quality and cause the formation of crusts and skins, especially if the containers are not tightly closed or subjected to direct sunlight for long periods.
  General Instructions/Precautions for Uses:
  Store away from direct heat & sunlight.
  Skin formation if any, should be removed before use.
  Water should not be added for dilution as it may adversely affect the performance of the product.
  Stir the content of the container well before use.
  All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, dust, oil etc.
